Brain Leakage Part Deux

I’m so ready for George W. to be out of office. For fuck’s sake you’ve fucked everything up as much as you could. Thank you and good riddance. Chris Rock pretty much summed it up when he said you were the worst president, of all presidents. Hopefully whoever comes next can clean up your mess before we become a third world country. I’m hoping that person is not a white republican.

Sarah Palin did a good job in the debate. I was expecting the “deer in the headlights” Palin, but was pleasantly surprised that she’d been coached well. Good for her! Still, the word is nuclear, not nucular. Even my spell check is freaking out right now. And, the world is not comprised of hockey moms. Just so ya know.

On a side note- she is, indeed, hot. I’d make out with her at a frat party for sure. I’m sure if I brought her the back leg of a dead wolf, or a clubbed baby seal, she’d let me.

The definition of marriage is two committed people who love each other. Not two people who will get divorced anyway.

Transformers is still the best movie I’ve ever seen over and over. A very close second is Lord of the Rings. But I’m a nerd.

Happy birthday roomie! I absolutely adore you and am so glad I was a part of your special day. Even though some old guy kept staring at us like he’d never seen chicks before, and I gave my number to a twenty-two year old. I blame Dirty Porn Stars for that last one- even though I didn’t know how old he was until it was too late. (I guess I have to start checking IDs now.)

Oh and I’m sorry I ran into the back of your truck and rendered my front license plate completely useless. Green means go. And my Saturn is no match for the ass of your Ford.

To the guy I hook up with from time to time: You rock in bed. It sucks that you’re stupid. However, I’m willing to overlook that for some safe and sane fun on my birthday next week. Holla!

I need sleep, and lots of it.

P.S. I still love you Angi and Kev!

Peace and saying what you think.

Rights Are for Everyone

I wish that all of the citizens of America understood that they aren’t God. How I live my life and the personal decisions I make are between me and God. In the end, it is God that I will answer to; not those that think they have the right to tell me how to live my life. If you don’t agree with things that people do- then don’t do them yourselves. Live your life the way YOU want to- and mind your own business. I don’t live my life for other people and NO one should ever have to.

I’m not going to make this a “political” blog… There are plenty of more qualified and elequent people out there who are kicking ass in that respect. But know that I am against the taking away of rights from people simply because others might not agree with them.

California will be voting on Prop 8 in November and I hope that the voters make the right choice by voting NO. If you’re against gay marriage- then don’t participate in it. If you’re against equal rights for everyone, then you should probably re-examine your own life, and why it is you feel the need to deny opportunities for people you don’t know anything about simply because you disagree with who they love.

Homosexuality is no more a choice than is heterosexuality. That’s a fact. And just because it’s possible to find gays who hate themselves for it, wish they weren’t and struggle to live “hetero” lives, doesn’t prove otherwise. Being gay in this country isn’t easy, thanks to those that try so fucking hard to make it difficult. It’s time to knock that shit off and take a step forward, instead of backward.

Peace and God loves gays too, even if you don’t.

Brain Leakage

19 Sep 2008

I just downloaded Yahoo! Messenger for my BlackBerry 8310 and it’s awesome. It wasn’t originally awesome, as it didn’t work with my device (thanks AT&T), but thanks to fabulous CrackBerry users, and my own nerd abilities, I managed to make it work flawlessly. I’ve been IMing with friends and family all day. I love, love, love my phone. (In case you were unaware.)

Today I heard a couple of things that pissed me off.

One was about a high school in Dos Palos, CA that punished a student for wearing an American Flag t-shirt to school. Evidently it violated the school’s dress code “…that’s designed to keep students from promoting specific races, cultures, or ethnicities.” Uh, excuse me? What fucking country does this kid live in? An American kid can’t wear an American shirt in America? Who do I slap first?

The school’s busted principal has since apologized and is planning to re-write the school’s dress code, which is lovely. However, how small does one’s brain need to be in order for this to have been an issue in the first place? And would this have been corrected had the media not gotten a hold of it? It’s OUR flag. Every American has the right to wave, salute or wear it as we see fit. The End.

In other anti-American news, basketball star Josh Howard has starred in his own idiotic video where, during The National Anthem, he states: “The Star-Spangled Banner’ is going on. I don’t celebrate this shit. I’m black.”

Are you fucking serious? Since when does ‘The Star-Spangled Banner‘ have anything to do with race? Newsflash Mr. Howard: You’re American. That’s YOUR anthem. Next time you have something brilliant to say, know what the hell you’re talking about and make some fucking sense. Dumb ass.

I think I may need to find another bank. I’ve been with Washington Mutual forever but in these shit-hole stellar economic times, it appears that they are not in the best financial shape. I don’t want to change banks. But I would hate for them to close their branches in my city (like they’ve done in many) and be stuck without one. And since they aren’t confirming or denying anything right now- I’m worried. Which sucks. I have direct deposit with my employer, as well as auto pay set up with different companies and I don’t want to deal with changing all that over. I mostly don’t want to lose a great bank that I love.

Thank you, George W. Bush. You’ve done a fabulous fucking job with our economy. You rock.

Peace and cranky blogging.

Vow To Vote NO

So I recently had a meltdown over Bakersfield refusing to perform wedding ceremonies for gay couples. You would think that once the Supreme Court had it’s say, this would be decided and final. Unfortunately I share a state with narrow-minded assholes who think they know what’s best for people they don’t even know. Because of them, we Californians will be voting on this issue in November.

My fave bloggy friend has published a post about this issue herself, as well as a link to the Equality for All Web site. It is there that I went and vowed to vote NO. Specifically:

I Vow To Vote No on a statewide ballot initiative that is intending to amend the California constitution to ban marriage for gay and lesbian couples. Gay and lesbian couples deserve the same fundamental freedoms that all Californians enjoy. I hereby Vow To Vote No on any constitutional amendment that stands in the way of equality for all.

I realize that this may not be a passionate issue for everyone, but as someone who has friends and family members who are gay and lesbian, this is a big fucking deal to me. And people who strive to take basic rights away from my friends and family piss me off.

Everybody matters. God loves ALL of us. And we all deserve the same basic rights of life. Period.

Peace and Equality.

New Kids on the Block are back?? WHAT? Okay, kind of. At least not NOW- but with the success of the reunited Spice Girls (which still confuses me to death), I’m sure they’ll give it a go too. This seems like the perfect time to admit that I do, in fact, have a NKOTB song in my music library. I even listen to it sometimes, when I’m drunk.

I PROMISE that I will get over this, but for now I must rant: Some jackass with an advertising blog tried to throw an ad for credit cards, or something having to do with them, in my comments today. I’m all for making money and if you’re doing that with your blog- high five. But keep that shit away from the fish.

There’s a spy satellite somewhere in space that’s out-of-control and hurtling towards Earth. It should be crashing late February to early March, and no one knows where it will land. How can you know about it in the first place, yet not have a clue where it’s gonna come from/end up? Oh, and did I mention that it weighs 20,000 pounds and is the size of a small bus? Uh, yeah. Pretty sure someone needs to start devoting a LOT more time to that bitch.

My beloved iPhone completely crashed today and I couldn’t even turn it off. I received a voice mail, listened to it, erased it- and then the screen went black. It seemed to have recovered about 10 minutes later. SO glad they got the kinks out before they sold it for hundreds of dollars. It’s ok though- I forgive them.

This happened Friday the 25th: In Madrid, Thomas Delgado, who was speeding, hit 17 year-old Enaitz Iriondo, who was riding his bike, and killed him. As if that wasn’t painful enough for that poor boy’s family, Mr. Sensitive is SUING them for the damage done to his car when Enaitz’s body hit it. He also wants them to pay for his rental while his car is being fixed. I am SO not kidding. He even told a local newspaper: “I’m also a victim in all of this, you can’t fix the lad’s problems, but you can fix mine.” Seriously? Wow.

I don’t know if any of you have ever been to the Rachael Ray Sux Community, but if you want to laugh (and you’re kind of mean) you should check it out. Personally, I don’t know Rachael Ray, so I can’t say if I like her or not- but those folks really, really don’t like her and some of what they write is seriously hilarious. Again, if you’re kind of mean, which I am. And I do have to admit that she annoys me sometimes, which is why I don’t watch her shows. But I’m sure she’s a very nice person.

And that’s all for today. Peace and comfy shoes.
