My Hotness Is Fierce

Some time ago, JD over at I Do Things decided to give herself a virtual makeover. It looked so fun that I thought I’d give it a shot too. Of course I am the Queen of Procrastination Town, so it took me a while to actually get around to it.

I headed over to this place and plugged myself in, hoping to maybe find the next great thing to do with my hair. I did not, in fact, find that thing. I DID, however, find looks that you’d have to kill me in order to inflict on me, and a new appreciation for what my hair is doing now. This isn’t the fault of Taaz.com, or their very cool virtual makeover tools; I’ve concluded that my face and head are just not down with change.

I thought I should note that, in addition to a variety of interesting hair styles, you can also tweak your makeup. In real life I’m not really a big makeup wearer, so I thought it would be nice to experiment with my trampy side. A few of these pictures feature my (not so subtle) makeup handiwork, so be on the lookout for that drunk whore look awesome bonus.

My apologies for any freaky nightmares and/or sex dreams the following may cause. Or your welcome.

Peace and change isn’t always good.

My Universal Wish List

Vanilla Ice hit me up again tonight. (Shocking.) He appears to be, according to my call log, on an “Every Three Days Try Again with Corrina” schedule. I told him no, again, of course. But it got me to thinking…

Here is this hot guy, forever chasing me around. But he’s obviously not “thee” guy. And the ones I’ve hoped might be thee guy weren’t either. My luck has been less than stellar, to say the least.

I saw on Oprah, one day a while back, that writing what you are seeking in a mate will somehow put it out into the universe and eventually that person will find you.

In the interest of Oprah Science, I have decided to compose such a list.

I’m sure most people write out their lists privately and tuck it away somewhere, but I figure the Universe has a better shot of reading mine if I put it here.

So listen up, Universe, because here it comes.

The qualities I am seeking in my ideal (male) partner are (I specify “male” because I don’t know all the rules and if the Universe sent me a chick with all these qualities, that would just be cruel, being that I happen to be straight.):

1. Has a great sense of humor.
2. Is a great kisser.
3. Is attractive to me.
4. Loves life.
5. Doesn’t take himself too seriously.
6. Gets along well with others.
7. Will watch football and drink beer with me on game days.
8. Loves his mom.
9. Loves animals.
10. Believes in God.
11. Affectionate.
12. Smart.
13. Has a job.
14. Considerate.
15. Honest.
16. Not homophobic and/or racist.
17. Sexually compatible with me.
18. Can stay up late.

Those are no particular order, but all are important to me on different levels.

And there is my “wish” list for whomever I find, or whomever finds me. Until then, I’ll just keep on keepin’ on. And telling Vanilla no.

Peace and Universal Wishes.

Oh My Aching Brain

My friend Julie’s boyfriend is starting some kind of clothing company (I think that’s what it is) called VADiO INC (lowercase “i” intended). He would like to make some stickers, but needed a graphic designer to make him some samples for ideas. Since I have a little experience in that area- Julie asked me to hook it up. He’s not looking for a logo, per se; just the name of the company- done in different ways.

Now I am pretty darned proficient at Paint Shop… It’s so easy a caveman could do it. I know the basics of Photoshop, but I’m no wizard. So today I set out to teach myself some nifty Photoshop text effects. Because I don’t know how to start at the beginning of anything- I went right to the hard (aka “Advanced”) stuff. That almost caused my brain to explode so I went to intermediate stuff and moved up from there. It was all worth it though because I learned a lot of new things today and learning is always a good thing. I’ve been at it all stinkin’ day and Julie got several emails worth of different samples. I’m glad she asked me to do this because I’ve been putting off falling in love with Photoshop for a while now and it was time. And now I am… In love with Photoshop.

Anyway- here are a few of the samples I made…

Since my brain was over saturated in text, layers, masks, etc. I decided to take a small break and tweak a photo of one of my best girls, Tasha. Guess which one she is! Ha ha (Also pictured: Stacy, me & above mentioned friend, Julie.)

Now I must go and sleep. Peace and Excedrin.

My Viral Experiment

17 Jan 2008

(Penicillin not included.)

Ok, so I was reading a post on the I Do Things blog and ran across one having to do with viral linking. Evidently it spawned from One Man’s Goal to get everyone to try it. The thought behind it seems to be promoting your fellow bloggers as well as help everyone build backlinks. Being horribly curious by nature, I feel I have to do this just to see what happens.

If you would like to try it yourself, just copy all the links below and paste them into a post. Don’t forget to add your own, if it’s not already listed, as well as other blogs you’d like to hook up. (Feel free to visit the links, themselves, too.) The blogs I added are in bold.

One Man’s Goal - Ryan Shamus - Terence Chang - Rich Minx - Slyvisions - Brainfizzles - E-Revenue Select - Misdo Club - Digital Lost Boys - CyberSurge - Technically Easy - How I Will Be Rich - Cool iPhone Blog - Boston Brat - A Blog About Nothing - Your Website Profit - The Dragon Project - Anything Goes - I Am Facing Millions - E-World Vu - Allscm.com - Hiding-N-Public - Webd360 - My Random Blog - Techie Zone - The Insane Writer - Olympic Blogger - Is This Thing On - Norwegian Photo Blog - The King Kong Blog - Bamboo Nation - Mobile Phone Geek - Boogie Mum - Barbara Gordon Photography - Miri Guy - Everything Finance Blog - Vonnegut’s Asshole - Net Monetization - Groovy Vegetarian - Etienne Teo - Omicra - Komirad - Pro Blog Design - I Do Things - Fashion Style Trend - Thinking Out Loud - Marketing Land - Marketing Deviant - Blogging Tips - Rammel Firdaus - Humor Vice - DCR Blogs - Tasty Blog Snack - Don Biz Blogger - Groovy Entrepreneur - Queer Rant - Untwisted Vortex - Mr. Baconpants - The Daily Fuzz - Forex Trading Blog - Zr5 - Cariboo Ponderer - Random - Utah SEO - Queen City Hoops - Demp.se/y - Scraps of Mind - High Fivez - Poewar - Blogging Expertise - Uncle Jay Explains - Escape Job Hell - Oil Offshore Marine - Smart Not Cheap - I Hate Your Job - Thoughtprints - Vegan Momma - Sewing Mom - Lillie Ammann - Life Snippets - Twisted Sister - My New Hustle - Mouseki - Chill Technology
