Brain Leakage
• I just downloaded Yahoo! Messenger for my BlackBerry 8310 and it’s awesome. It wasn’t originally awesome, as it didn’t work with my device (thanks AT&T), but thanks to fabulous CrackBerry users, and my own nerd abilities, I managed to make it work flawlessly. I’ve been IMing with friends and family all day. I love, love, love my phone. (In case you were unaware.)
• Today I heard a couple of things that pissed me off.
One was about a high school in Dos Palos, CA that punished a student for wearing an American Flag t-shirt to school. Evidently it violated the school’s dress code “…that’s designed to keep students from promoting specific races, cultures, or ethnicities.” Uh, excuse me? What fucking country does this kid live in? An American kid can’t wear an American shirt in America? Who do I slap first?
The school’s busted principal has since apologized and is planning to re-write the school’s dress code, which is lovely. However, how small does one’s brain need to be in order for this to have been an issue in the first place? And would this have been corrected had the media not gotten a hold of it? It’s OUR flag. Every American has the right to wave, salute or wear it as we see fit. The End.
In other anti-American news, basketball star Josh Howard has starred in his own idiotic video where, during The National Anthem, he states: “The Star-Spangled Banner’ is going on. I don’t celebrate this shit. I’m black.”
Are you fucking serious? Since when does ‘The Star-Spangled Banner‘ have anything to do with race? Newsflash Mr. Howard: You’re American. That’s YOUR anthem. Next time you have something brilliant to say, know what the hell you’re talking about and make some fucking sense. Dumb ass.
• I think I may need to find another bank. I’ve been with Washington Mutual forever but in these shit-hole stellar economic times, it appears that they are not in the best financial shape. I don’t want to change banks. But I would hate for them to close their branches in my city (like they’ve done in many) and be stuck without one. And since they aren’t confirming or denying anything right now- I’m worried. Which sucks. I have direct deposit with my employer, as well as auto pay set up with different companies and I don’t want to deal with changing all that over. I mostly don’t want to lose a great bank that I love.
Thank you, George W. Bush. You’ve done a fabulous fucking job with our economy. You rock.

I wish I had a cool FREE phone that could do something other than ring. I don’t want to talk on it, but I wouldn’t mind a text here and there…actually I do text once every blue moon on it, but the keypad sucks and so does my battery. I might look into getting a new phone, prepaid though, I don’t use it that much.
I could think of a lot more offensive things that kids wear and do than wearing an American flag, like those darn saggy pants, with a belt. I feel like strangling some boys when I see that, makes no sense, pants below the buttocks with a belt….will get knocked up side the head with the buckle!
Oh you didn’t know Josh H smokes the Chief (the marijuana). He’s not exactly playing with a full deck, look at him and you’ve already heard him. I don’t expect anything intelligent to come out of his mouth. In fact, if he can say “here” during role call, I think we should pat this man on the back, erect a statute in his honor and give him an honorary degree in education. Considering the source, he should be ignored.
I use BOA, so right now, they seem to be okay, but I would hate the thought of having to change banks, not when I have my ATM card number memorized.
I hope you don’t have to, that can be a real pain changing everything. It’s bad out there and people keep saying don’t panic…

I read about JH this morning. I shouldn’t be, but sometimes I am still shocked by the morons they let live these days. What does being black have to do with the National Anthem??? Is he insinuating that he’s not “from here?” I’d like to see HIS family tree…
WaMu is HUGE here, as you can imagine, being the headquarters…you should see the frenzy. I don’t agree that Bush is solely responsible for the economy problems going on right now, but I’m sure you’re not shocked by that.
Guess this means I better burn all my flag t-shirts…

I did not know Josh smoked the Chief until I saw him in that video. I was angry that any American could say something so stupid about something that means so much to so many. He needs to take another bong hit, count his millions and shut the fuck up.
I have banked with BofA before and I hate them. I’ll never go back. I’m just hoping that they don’t end up buying out WaMu, because I’ll have to bail. I think I’ll stick it out as long as possible and see what happens. I’m not afraid of anything happening to my money- I don’t have enough in there- LOL- but I’d hate to have them close here.
Angi - Yeah…. I was pretty surprised by something that stupid. I think Natural hit it on the head with the whole pot head thing. LOL
I LOVE WaMu!! I’ve banked with several institutions over the years and they have just been the best fit for me. I am really distressed over this.
And I know Bush didn’t get our economy where it is all by his lonesome. I know he had help.
I think you should actually buy a slew of flag t-shirts and wear them every day to work just to see what happens! LOL

LOL! I love the way you put things, it is so utterly divine. I so completely agree with everything you say. Regardless of what country you live, you absolutely have to take pride in who you are and where your from. I absolutely love my country, and while I disagree with the government on almost everything they do, I’ll be damned if I will let the current trend of over the top, ridiculous, piss everybody off to please one person, version of political correctness be something that I will pass on to my kids.

An I am trying to love my blackberry as much as you, I really am. But I’m not nerdy enough to make it do anything special, and Verizon doesn’t seem to want me to anyway. My short-term goal is to be able to store more than 8 pictures on it. Otherwise I will just have to continue to take my camera with me everywhere.

It would’ve been so much easier if I’d waited collected my thoughts and posted them at once — but that’s what I get for dominating all competition in beer pong throughout college.
Josh Howard is a well established moron - I lived in Dallas before I moved to LA — its just a face. I’d advice him to make a statement clarifying his remarks but let’s just say he’s not well spoken. I always thought Wake Forrest was a fine school but apparently their standards have slipped. That said - if that’s how he feels about America its his right to say it. Now we all know he’s a bigger moron than previously thought. Check out Mark Cuban’s blog (he owns the Mavericks for any who don’t know). Mark is brilliant - though he’s totally mishandled the situation with Josh. He posted people’s emails that he received re: Josh Howard. Sadly there are many people out there who are far more clueless/classless that Mr. Howard. The blog is http://www.blogmaverick.com. It’s really a good blog - I’d highly recommend it - you might not always agree but it makes you think.
Oh and post some more pics soon - haven’t seen your smile in a while. (Don’t you love it when people you don’t know get bossy?)
