My Kidneys Hate Me
What a weekend.
Friday night with the girls was super fun. Sex and the City was fabulous, but the way some chicks dressed themselves to see it was a little ridiculous. It was worth it just to see the fashion nightmares that came out to play. Note to those women: While this IS California, it isn’t Hollywood. And Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte could not see you through the movie screen. I’m really not sure what was worse- the fashion show, or the “I [heart] Sex and the City” t-shirts. My girls and I were super excited to see the movie, and loved it- but we dressed like ourselves.
After the movie we commenced to drankin’, hit several local hot spots and celebrated Michelle’s birthday the right way. Saturday night at work I was wishing my head would just explode already.
Last night, after work, drinks sounded like a good idea again. I met up with Sly and we decided to see how much beer our bodies could hold. Turns out they hold a lot. Today I am not feeling that spunky. Thank GOD I don’t have to go anywhere.
On another note, I got a new phone. Again. I thought I’d try out the BlackBerry since it’s the only kind of phone that I
haven’t had yet. That, and Fashion Paramedic adores hers so much that I had nasty phone envy. So I got myself a white Pearl. It’s cute and I like it, but I am considering it my BlackBerry “training” phone. The QWERTY keypad is foreign to me and I’ve gone from texting like I invented it to texting like a 2 year old. I am getting better though. So once I master this one, I’ll upgrade.
Ya know how women are with shoes? I’m like that with phones. It’s a sickness and I need help. But until someone comes up with electronics rehab, I’ll keep getting new ones.
Peace and smartphones.

The force is strong with you, Holy Corinna. You’ll master the keyboard long before you outgrow the phone.
Oh! And the fake Prada-wearing skanks were also out in full force at the early morning showing of SATC. Maybe they were still out from the night before?

Sounds like fun! I can’t wait to see it, but in my livingroom in my jammies
I guess you don’t want to hear that I don’t have a cell phone.

Fashion - Wasn’t it ridiculous the way some women dressed to see a MOVIE? Perhaps there was a red carpet that I couldn’t see… Hmmm…
Drowsey - WHAT?? I think I’m going to faint. lol

I use to change phones like I would change my socks. I bought me the pearl as a Christmas present to myself. You will love it once you get use to it. I text like a demon with mine. I love it!

G8rBryan - I am thinking that I’ll be upgrading to a Curve in the future. For now the Pearl is working nicely for me though. Good training phone.
I’m finally getting the hang of the keyboard.

You got another WHAT??? You MUST be kidding me. You are a nut. I know no one else with a phone addiction like you. Still, I think it’s cool that you’re a techie-geek about phones. You set a good example for other women. Shoe-collecting has been done to death.

Your Blackberry is cute! If you upgrade later I think you’ll love it too. The keyboard is the one reason I wouldn’t go to a Blackberry Pearl (oh and I’m blind so the screen is hard for me to see on) but I love my Qwerty keyboard. I still can’t decide if I want to try an iPhone or upgrade to a Blackberry Curve - I’ve considered doing both. Crazy.

Nick - Honestly, I hope electronics rehab doesn’t ever become a reality because then I’ll have to get some help and I don’t really want to. HA
Natural - Prepaid phones are quite popular actually. Lots of my friends have them and some of them are nice too.
Marvin - I KNOW. I have a sickness! I’ll be upgrading to the Curve next week.
Jaime - I really like my little “trainer” BlackBerry but I’ve learned enough to be comfortable with an upgrade. And as a former iPhone owner- I recommend getting a Curve instead. The iPhone is pretty and neat and packed with awesome technology, but I think you’ll be frustrated by the things it doesn’t do. Especially if you’re coming from CrackBerry land.

Wait, the Sex and the City girls can’t see me through the screen? Well, what’s the point…?
