Yes, Please.
I don’t know how I missed this, but I finally saw the remake of The Amityville Horror last night. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as the original, mostly because I’ve seen some of Ryan Reynolds’ other movies and he didn’t seem the “leading man in a horror movie” type. Anyway, I really liked it and wasn’t at all disappointed (like I am with 90% of remakes). But that is not what I liked best…
How have I not managed to see Ryan Reynolds without his shirt on?? First, I’m watching the movie with interest, then comes Mr. Sexy Pants without his shirt and I’m suddenly watching with a whole different interest. I couldn’t even focus on the matter at hand, after that. I just kept hoping he’d chop more wood and sweat (which, gratefully, he did).
Mr. Reynolds, you will never read this- or know who the hell I am- but I want to touch your abs. Please and thank you.

Girl!! Mama LOVES her some Ryan Reynolds!! If you think he’s hot in Amityville, check him out in Blade 3–funny and SEXY. His interaction with Parker Posey is classic. I’m gonna have to go dig that out, have a cocktail, and pretend I’m putting the movie on for my husband . . .

I am SO going to watch Blade 3. I have no idea what it is but it is my mission in life to see it now. YUM!! I think a martini is in order, for sure.

Oh, he was in Amityville 3? Hmmm. I liked his character in Blade 3, but if you haven’t seen Blade 1 or 2, at least watch Blade 1 first - it’s by far the best. Blade 2 is really annoying from a technology standpoint, and the plot is annoying, although watching Ron Perlman be a complete asshole is fun. Blade 3 is a hoot but the plot doesn’t hang together as well as Blade 1.

Hello Marvin! Is there an Amityville 3? I’ve never seen that one if there is. I watched a remake of the original (it wasn’t any kind of sequel). As for the Blade movies… No Ryan Reynolds, no watch. Ha ha ha! But thank you for your reviews.

No Corrina, there is no “Amity 3,” only Martian thoughts rushing ahead of tentacles which stuttered and mistyped. (So hard to get the correct 336-key Martian keyboards here.) So Martians are not so smart.
If you like action flicks at all, Blade 1 is a classic of the genre, with a vampire twist, and a bit of science to explain vampirism and how to counter it, as Blade fights the good fight against the evil underground vampire nation. (Blade is a vampire himself, so he’s a traitor to the race.) Blade 2 is more of the same, with hordes of mutant vampires in the sewers of Prague. Luckily they are EXTREMELY sensitive to UV light. Why our heroes didn’t build UV lasers to use, instead of insisting on very pretty but ineffectual machineguns, I have no idea - I blame poor scriptwriting. Blade 3 is back in the US, with Jessica Biel and your object of desire as grudging partners with Blade to defeat the vampire race, who have awakened an uber-vampire to kill Blade once and for all. Do try Blade 1 first - it will make Blade 3 less non-sensical. Blade 2 is optional if you like pretty Prague sewer architecture.

Marvin - Oh NOW I remember Blade- The first one starred Wesley Snipes, right? I never saw the whole movie, but I remember it. Duh!
Nick - The remake wasn’t bad at all! It was creepier than the original. I liked it, but I think I might be biased since I’m a little ab obsessed. ha ha
