I ran a CHKDSK command, along with the “fix this shit” box checked. Wow, I haven't done that in a while....I really want a new computer, but mine can be saved.

Oh Fashion Paramedic... You and me both! After all, you ARE the master at computer eulogies. :-)

Marvin... You've scared me a bit with your sister's bad times with a Mac! However, I will soldier on and get one anyway. I can't have bad computer karma anymore... This is my second PC in less than 3 years. :-(

I am glad my etheric projection of positive energy helped! But YOU made it happen. Pat yourself on the back. I hope your computer continues to work until you can acquire your Mac. However, Macs are not the cure-all that they are made out to be. My sister had a terrible time with her iMac. It was a proverbial POS. But she persevered and after two years of suffering, actually bought another one which seems to work much better. I'm not sure that I would have been so forgiving. If you pay $3000 for a Mac, it had $*#@& better work flawlessly.

[...] Iphone Unlock Service wrote an interesting post today onHere’s a quick excerptMy Computer Lives! March 4th, 2008 Well, after MANY hours of trouble shooting, I discovered that I had a bazillion disk errors and corrupted files on my machine. How that happened, I have no idea. As far as I can tell, I wasn’t the victim of any viruses or the like. But there it was in my log file… A big fat mess. Luckily, I was able to boot up in Safe Mode (as we know) and I ran a CHKDSK command, along with the “fix this shit” box checked. I restarted. Mind you, it took me several hours to [...]
